PHASED AND OCCUPIED OFFICEREFURBISHMENT
EAST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL PHASED AND OCCUPIED OFFICEREFURBISHMENT
Employed by East Northamptonshire Council to carry out a phased office refurbishment over 5-phases whilst the council continued to operate undisturbed. Taking place over 5 months, the works completed effectively with Covid-19 measures in place to protect the client team and the SFI workforce.
Phase 1 comprised strip out of cellularised office space, installing new partitions, ceiling repairs, new lighting, small power, decoration, joinery, ironmongery, floor finishes and ff&e. Phase 2a and 2b much smaller areas formed the new vibrant staffroom, archive room and future Northants project space.
Phase 3 arguably the area with most transformation, we moved into the main reception whilst allowing continued access to the public and staff. The previous ramp and handrail removed and infilled to create a level space in which to form a Pace Room and flexible working space. A new external screen with staff entrance was introduced with Paxton locks with all low-level glazing replaced for new SIPS panels. The new reception layout formed, and interview room size increased to accommodate social distancing going forward. Phase 4 similar to Phase 1 the full refurbishment of office space, removing various office walls to create an open plan working space.
Within the refurbishment programme we managed the air-conditioning installations, also bringing back to life the existing AHU and distribution systems throughout the building. Another great project to deliver with the help of ENC Transformations team.
