CASE STUDY: THE OXFORD ACADEMY
SUB-DIVISION, FITOUT AND REFURBISHMENT
With limited lead-in timescale due to Covid restrictions prior, the existing school library required sub-division to accommodate a local tenant over the summer holiday period, whilst refurbishing and modifying existing classroom and office areas.
Works commenced with a large fire rated stud and plasterboard partition to form a new tenant space in the existing library area, also comprising teapoint, accessible toilet, cleaners room and store.
Extensive suspended ceiling raft alterations carried out to accommodate the new layout with modifications to existing lighting, power, fire, ventilation and sprinkler systems.
New classrooms formed within a former community library space completed with new fresh air and ventilation installations. New high quality oak door sets saw the installation move forward, whilst the three compartment trunking and power outlets finished the classroom.
